American Nail Protocol

  • Depending on the width of the nail, choose the appropriate Nail Tips size. The Nail Tips should be no smaller than the natural nail.
  • Prepare the inside of the Nail Tips using an emeris tip at low speed.
  • Remove dust
  • Shorten the natural nail as much as possible and prepare the nail plate.
  • Apply a very thin layer of Fibr'in Base to the nail, catalyze
  • Apply a very thin layer of Fibr'in Base to the inside of the Nail Tips and finish by scraping the brush along the edge (cuticle side).
  • Turn the Nail Tips over and gently lower it from the cuticle to the free edge.
  • Catalyze

Tip: mat the cap before applying color

What are our Flash Xtension Nail Tips made of?

Our Nail Tips for American application are made not from gel, but from plastic! More specifically, ABS plastic (Acrlonite Butadiene Styrene).

This plastic, renowned for its excellent impact resistance, rigidity and lightness, is above all a member of the family of Thermoplastic Polymers, a family of materials with the property of softening when sufficiently heated and becoming hard and solid again when cooled.

American Nail Tips are therefore molded from this plastic material, not from gel. You can check this by doing one of two tests:

- Using a lighter: the heat of the flame deforms and blackens the american caps: this is the normal reaction of this type of plastic when exposed to a flame.

- Using a sander: American caps create large white chips when sanded perpendicularly.

If you try to do the same with a gel nail, you'll see that it doesn't curl up under heat, and that sanding produces a fine dust.
