VELVET MAT FINISH - FINISHING GEL
Discover a long-lasting, ultra-easy-to-apply velvet-effect finishing gel! The formulation of our VELVET MAT FINISH finishing gel combines several advantages:
- Residue-free: after catalysis, there's no need to degrease
- Perfect matting after 60s of catalysis*
- Long-lasting hold, even after 4 weeks
- Can be used on all types of lay-up (Gel, VSP, Resin and Acrygel)
VELVET MAT FINISH transforms any of your colors into a smooth, matte and soft surface!
PROTOCOL OF USE
The characteristics of ourVELVET MAT FINISH gel finish require a very specific application protocol. To obtain the desired result and enjoy all the benefits of this finish, it is essential to follow the protocol below:
- Before applyingVELVET MAT FINISH gel finish
- If your color is WITH residue: using a completely dry Master Wipes, remove any excess sticky residue
- If your color is WITHOUT residue: roughen the surface with Smooth File Grey, then dust off
- ApplyVELVET MAT FINISH in 1 thin coat, 2mm from the cuticle
- Finish at cuticle level with a liner
- Catalyze
TIPS
Matt finishes are"porous " and more fragile than glossy finishes . It is therefore imperative to follow our application and maintenance advice to obtain a clean, long-lasting result .
Matte-effect finishes can be applied to any color , but applying a matte finish to a light/very light color can considerably reduce the durability of your installation.
This is because the porous surface of the matte finish will tend to pick up/snag/stain more easily than with a conventional finish. Gloves must therefore be worn: remember to tell your customers!
In this way, tinted clothes (new jeans), foundation, hair colorations/dyes/paints or even spices can permanently stain the finish!
What should I do if my customer has stained her finish?
It's very simple: buff with a polishing block until the unsightly stain disappears, dust off and apply a new coat of matte finish before catalyzing.
